After 20 years, Sanford continues
to welcome their guests
with open arms. “We’ve always tried to make visitors at Sanford feel
comfortable and well cared for – like they’re coming into our home,”
says Chef Owner Sanford D’Amato.
In 1989, a grocery
store that had been in the family for 80 years, was transformed into the
modern and streamlined dining room it is today. Dotted with wife
Angie’s personal touches to bring that taste of “home” to the
restaurant, it provides a backdrop for the seasonally driven menu items
produced in Sanford’s kitchen. The commitment to serving food made with
products at their peak flavor is exemplified on the daily menu and on
the ever-changing Four-Course Seasonal Menu. “If tomatoes are in
season, they’ll be on the menu. If not, we’ll just wait until the fresh
ones come around again,” Sandy maintains.
The D’Amato’s have
also hand-selected a wine list that reflects their tastes when it comes
to pairing wine with food, “Everything needs to be in balance - the wine
should make the food better and vice versa.” Monday through Friday they
offer a Seven-Course Surprise Tasting Menu where caution is thrown to
the Sanford kitchen and a custom tailored menu is created à la minute.
There is an option for wine to be paired with each course which gives
guests the most abundant opportunity to experience many different tastes
of food and wine during their visit.
Sandy, Angie and the
staff of Sanford invite you to visit us. Just like the old family

what they strive to provide for their guests to hopefully make it a
